Interested in Temporary Dental Staffing?

Our temporary staffing service allows you to maintain a productive schedule whenever you need coverage due to sick time, vacation time, maternity leave, or any other need that may arise.

We will find the right "temp" for a day, a week, or a month. We can even fill an entire maternity leave! We have been very successful at finding temporary staff on an emergency basis. Only one call is needed to have an experienced hygienist, dentist, dental assistant or business staff member at your office.

All temporary staff that we place in your office are employees of DSP, therefore we take care of interviewing, reference check, and payroll taxes. This saves you both time and money.

We pride ourselves on providing the absolute best temporary employees to our clients. DSP knows how imperative it is to have a quality staff and we will provide that quality. Please be sure to read our policy. We look forward to meeting your staffing needs.

Cancellation Policy

DSP clients are required to give DSP a minimum 24 HOUR NOTICE of cancellation to avoid any cancellation fees. Sunday is not considered a working day and will not be calculated in determining the minimum 24 hour provision of this cancellation notice. DSP has agreements with its employees to pay them a minimum salary amount for cancellations. If a DSP client gives less than a 24 hour notice to cancel a confirmed temporary assignment, DSP shall charge the client and the client agrees to pay DSP a minimum $50.00 cancellation fee.

Temporary Staff Guidelines

To maximize the quality of our temporary staffing service, we respectfully request that your office follow the guidelines listed below when retaining a temporary staff member. If you have any questions or comments, please feel free to contact your Dental Staff Placement (DSP) employment counselor. Thank you for selecting DSP for your placement needs.

ADDITIONAL ASSIGNMENTS: If you wish to schedule additional temporary assignments with your current temporary staff member, contact DSP to inform us of the days and times of your request.

PERMANENT PLACEMENT: If you wish to hire a DSP temporary staff member on a permanent basis, contact DSP.

ASSIGNMENT: Give the specific guidelines to your temporary staff member. Make sure they are clear on exactly what your requirements are including: procedures, methods and expectations. Seek clarity in communications with temporary staff members to assure their assignment will be successful for everyone.

ABILITIES: Gain clarity as to your temporary staff member's abilities and expertise prior to assigning specific tasks.

ASEPSIS: Review your office's asepsis procedures with all clinical assistants and hygienists at the beginning of their assignment.

VACCINATIONS: Make sure that all clinical assistants and hygienists sign a HEP verification form to verify that they are current with their vaccination requirements.

STAFF INJURY: If a DSP staff member is injured on the job, take all necessary medical action, and contact our office as soon as possible.

PROBLEMS: Contact DSP if you have any problems with a temporary staff member. Temporary staff members are our employees and we need to know if you experience any problems.
