TEMPORARY STAFF POLICY
GUIDE
You
represent Dental Staff Placement (DSP) whenever you accept an assignment in one of our
clients offices. Please review the
following personnel policies and if you have any questions or comments, contact your
employment counselor for assistance.
ON TIME: Whenever
you accept an assignment, please note the exact time you are scheduled to arrive at the
office. If for any reason you know you will
be late, contact the doctors office as soon as possible to inform them of your
situation.
CANCELLATIONS: If
it becomes necessary to cancel an assignment, contact DSP immediately and we will contact
the doctor to arrange a replacement if possible. If
you need to cancel an assignment and you cannot reach DSP, contact the doctors
office directly. After you have contacted the
doctors office, contact DSP as soon as possible to inform us of the situation.
DRESS CODE: Clinical
assistants and hygienist are required to follow all OSHA standards of asepsis (gloves,
masks, and eye protectors). Ask the Doctor in
the office you are assigned about their standards of asepsis.

Assistants and Hygienist
Ø Must
wear clean and pressed clothes
Ø May
choose between uniforms and lab coats
Ø White
clinical shoes are preferred
Ø No
open toed shoes or sandals
Ø Limited
use of makeup and perfume
Ø Business
Staff (receptionists and managers) may wear business smart attire
ADDITIONAL ASSIGNMENTS: If a DSP client requests that you return for
additional assignments, all future assignments must be arranged by DSP. Please inform the doctor that you will communicate
their request and dates of the assignments to DSP. All future assignments in DSP offices
must be coordinated through DSP.
PERMANENT PLACEMENTS:
As a temp, if a DSP client requests that you accept a permanent position in the
office, you must communicate your acceptance of the assignment to DSP as soon as possible. We will forward all necessary permanent placement
information to the office. All permanent
placement positions resulting from a temporary assignment in a client office must be
coordinated through DSP.
PROBLEM RESOLUTION:
If at anytime you encounter a problem during an assignment in a DSP client
office, make your best efforts to resolve the problem.
You are a professional and we expect that you will handle any problems
professionally. If the problem cannot be
resolved, contact DSP as soon as possible and we will assist you in every way.
